The Department of Accounting and Finance (DAF) is one of the three Departments that currently constitute the Knutsford Business School. DAF provides rigorous and thorough finance and accounting graduate and undergraduate degree programmes to prepare our students with accounting and finance career objectives to become skilled and ethical leading graduates in line with the mission of the University College.
The Department currently offers the following programmes:
-BSc. Business Administration (Accounting)
-BSc. Business Administration (Finance)
-MBA in Accounting
-MBA in Finance.
Students are assured of the needed support they require from the Department to successfully complete their chosen studies in line with the University College's academic regulations. The next generation of managers and business administrators must be trained to be able to deal with human complexities, technological dynamics, and unending global competition. The Programmes are required to deal with these complexities and to ensure corporate survival, growth and success. The need for global competence underlies Knutsford's Degree Programmes. It aims at preparing graduates to deal with the current and emerging business, management and leadership dynamics and complexities in industry and society. The programmes are theoretically and practically well-balanced with a focus on both national and international businesses.
Knutsford scholarship is available for Ghanaian students requiring financial aid.
The award is based on financial need, academic merit, and achievements.
Our Department has a full-time faculty member serving as an internship coordinator for our students. We offer internships for academic credit and encourage students to take advantage of the wealth of internship opportunities.
Financial Aid
Financial aid is provided ‘as and when’ the aid is available. Students would be informed of all available aid and of the criteria for accessing them. It is the student’s responsibility to apply for such aid. Financial aid provided by the college is strictly for tuition and is not refundable under any circumstance. SSNIT Students Loan
Ghanaian students interested in study loans can access the SSNIT student loans provided by the Government of Ghana through SSNIT. Interested students may contact the Students Services Office for details.
After the successful completion of our programme, our students go on to work with major companies and organizations, pursue graduate degrees, attend law school, or start their own entrepreneurial ventures.
