The Knutsford Master of Business Administration is uniquely designed to provide a holistic business education for graduates. The programme bridges the gap between the traditional generalist and specialist approach to the training of business executives and leaders. This combination allows graduates to enjoy all the advantages of generalist and specialist courses thereby, increasing students’ confidence, competence and preparation for industry. Wide range of elective subjects grouped in subject areas optional to students allows in-depth knowledge and skills to be built in functional or subject areas of interest in addition to the broad core common courses prescribed for all students.
The first semester of the first year of the programme immerses students in Business Psychology, Sociology, Philosophy, Economics, Quantitative Analysis, Communication, Legal, Ethical, and Governances foundation to build critical thinking and analytical skills, communication skills, legal skills, leadership and ethical behaviour in students.
The second and the third semesters of Year One and Year Two build on the foundation acquired in Semester One. In these semesters, broad core business and management courses are introduced to equip students with key knowledge in business and management. Students, therefore, acquire the broad generalist skills needed to stay relevant and competitive in the changing environment.
The last semester i.e. Semester Two of the Second Year gives students opportunities to select from a wide range of elective courses grouped in twenty subject and functional areas. This section allows students to develop in-depth knowledge and expertise in any chosen field of interest. Students can also customize their studies from the over 90 elective courses to fit their specific needs.

Knutsford University College shall admit candidates with different academic backgrounds to the MBA. Candidates are admitted to the programme at the beginning of each semester beginning from September. The various categories of candidates to be considered for the MBA programme shall possess the following qualifications:
• A good first degree from a recognized university/institution in the appropriate field of study (Second class lower or better)
• Applicants with professional qualifications would be referred to Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) for validation and approval before admission is granted.
Applicants may be required to go through a screening and selection interview.
International students with qualifications equivalent to those above may be considered for admission.
They would be required to show evidence of proficiency in English Language and to go through a screening and selection interview.

The design of the programme has undergone a series of consultations with key stakeholders in the industry. These include professional bodies and professionals.
A full-time student shall be required to carry a total workload of 15 credits per semester for the first three semesters and 21 credits for the fourth semester throughout the duration of the programme.
The coding system used is alpha-numeric. The entire courses under the MBA shall be prefixed with four letters followed by three digits.
Conveniently, the four chosen letters are KMBA; meaning “Knutsford MBA courses.

During the 3rd Semester, in addition to the core courses, a student is required to do two (2) specialization courses.
In 4th the Semester of the programme, a student is required to do four specialization courses including an elective course.
In addition a student is required to take a capstone project.
The MBA programme is intended to expand the knowledge of students for careers in the field of specialized and general areas in business, industry and commerce. Students who graduate from the programme should be prepared to assume key positions as Business Consultants, Project Managers and Human Resource Managers among others.
